Since my last post, I've recovered from my trail mishap and have done two half marathons (one road, one trail), a 30K, and volunteered as a pacer at Umstead 100 for the first time! In other words, training has been going well and I'm inching towards the goal of finishing Transrockies. Between now and August, it's a matter of logging the miles in, staying healthy and injury free, and spreading the words about the coffee farm project in Ethiopia. Speaking of which, the Heart of Mercy International has set up a paypal account for us through which you can donate directly. Please visit the "Support" tab and consider taking part in the lives of many Ethiopians on their way to transformation. I really appreciate it.

Follow Our Training
This blog will be updated periodically on our training and practice races. After the bad fall on trails two weeks ago, I'm finally back on my feet. I'm still cautious about running consecutive days and difficult surfaces. My 5 mile easy trail run yesterday put more strain on my foot than a 9 mile run on the paved greenway in faster pace. At any rate, check back weekly, follow our training, and better yet, join us running!
